Turin University professor confirms the Shroud is authentic
At the Association of Religious Information Journalists, the teacher said he would bet all his money on the authenticity of the shroud of Christ since according to new data, color photographs and other black and white and the scanning of bloodstains, confirmed that the medieval dating of the shroud is “technically unacceptable.”
His intention is to perform a new carbon-14 test but using different methods, and said, “Pope Benedict XVI is who has to decide on this question.”
The practitioner denies that the sheet was a painting and stated that “the bloodstains are printed following the shape of the human body, while the face appears in a linear fashion” and it “is possible to achieve this effect through painting.”
Pope Benedict XVI announced he will visit the city of Turin to venerate the shroud.
